Mark Whitford

Mark is a partner in Barclay Damon’s Insurance Coverage & Regulation, Torts & Products Liability Defense, and Commercial Litigation Practice Areas. A former NY Supreme Court Appellate Division attorney, he concentrates on providing advice and litigation support to insurers across the country concerning their complex insurance needs, with a specific focus on commercial and excess liability, construction defect, property, directors and officers, and personal lines policies.

Mark strives to deliver upfront, candid guidance to his clients concerning their complex needs, and he focuses on creating direct paths for resolving concerns.

Tony is Barclay Damon’s Insurance Coverage & Regulation Practice Area chair and previously served on the firm’s Management and Compensation Committees. A seasoned attorney who has successfully tried cases to verdict, Tony primarily concentrates his practice on complex insurance coverage, appellate law, and commercial-litigation matters.

Additionally, Tony frequently advises insurers, brokers, third-party administrators, self-insured entities, and other parties in claims-handling procedures and practices; addresses complaints with state insurance departments; and litigates matters arising from claims-handling practices.

Joe Wilson

Joe serves as counsel in Barclay Damon’s Insurance Coverage & Regulation Practice Area. He advises on matters throughout the insurance industry, helping clients navigate regulatory and compliance issues in the most challenging jurisdictions.

Joe is also a chartered property casualty underwriter and provides guidance on operational issues, including product development, rate and form filing, market conduct, formation and licensing, acquisition and sale of product lines, underwriting and claim operations, agency relations, solvency, regulatory accounting issues, and the termination and runoff of property and casualty lines.
